Matsunoya Cuts Pork Loin Cutlet & Fried Shrimp Set Meals by 20 Yen to 950 and 1,230 YenOct 28, 2026

Matsunoya’s official website menu now lists eight Platter Set Meals under the “Double Portion Fair” banner. All eight were listed as of 14:50 on October 21, 2026, at prices from 970 to 1,350 yen. The item names carry the number of side dishes, as in “Fried Oyster (4 pcs)” and “Authentic Karaage (6 pcs).”

An official notice dated October 16 gave the launch date as 15:00 on Wednesday, October 21, and eligible stores as “Matsunoya nationwide excluding some stores (expressway PA stores excluded),” announcing that all eight items would carry double the side dishes with no price change. The prices now listed for the eight items match that notice to the yen.

The highest energy figure among the eight is the Extra Thick-Cut Rib Loin Cutlet & Authentic Karaage (6 pcs) Set Meal at 1882kcal, and the lowest is the Pork Loin Cutlet & Fried Shrimp (2 pcs) Set Meal at 1247kcal, a gap of 635kcal. Switching the cutlet from Pork Loin Cutlet to Extra Thick-Cut Rib Loin Cutlet adds 352kcal in every case, with the side dish combination unchanged.

The two karaage items are the only ones whose pre-double-portion names carried no piece count. The Double Portion Fair versions state (6 pcs) outright.

Fried Shrimp “2 pcs” Comes Down to One Version

The Fried Shrimp platters previously came in two versions, 1 pc and 2 pcs. The price the Double Portion Fair “2 pcs” inherited is the one from the 1 pc side: 970 yen with Pork Loin Cutlet, 1,250 yen with Extra Thick-Cut Rib Loin Cutlet.

The pre-double-portion Platter Set Meals dropped off the menu listing ahead of 15:00 on October 21, and the 2 pcs items at 1,250 and 1,530 yen went with them. The result is that Fried Shrimp 2 pcs platters are now just two items, at 970 and 1,250 yen. The October 16 notice said nothing about what would happen to those 2 pcs items.

The delisted pre-double-portion Platter Set Meals span every combination — Fried Oyster, Fried Horse Mackerel, Fried Shrimp and Authentic Karaage — across both Pork Loin Cutlet and Extra Thick-Cut Rib Loin Cutlet. The eight Double Portion Fair items step straight into their place.
