Matsunoya Opens Two Stores on Consecutive Days, November 20 and 21, Including Kurashiki Oshima

Two new stores have been added to Matsunoya’s store list, one in Kurashiki, Okayama and one in Suminoe Ward, Osaka. Both are stores co-located with Matsuya, and the listed store names carry the notes “*Opening November 20 at 10:00” and “*Opening November 21 at 10:00.”

Kurashiki Oshima is the city’s third store, and over 80% of Okayama stores are co-located with Matsuya

Two Matsunoya locations are listed in Kurashiki: Kurashiki Tamashima (co-located with Matsuya) and Kurashiki Mizushima (co-located with Matsuya). Oshima makes three. Across Okayama, it is the ninth store.

Co-location type	Okayama (9 stores)	Nationwide (691 stores)
Co-located with Matsuya	8 stores	492 stores
Co-located with Mycurry Shokudo	0 stores	76 stores
Standalone Store	1 store	123 stores

Okayama leans toward Matsuya co-location more heavily than the country as a whole, and all three Kurashiki stores are co-located with Matsuya.

Suminoe Shinkitajima: no other Matsunoya is listed in Suminoe Ward, Osaka

Osaka has 72 Matsunoya stores, second only to Tokyo’s 106. Even so, Shinkitajima is the only Matsunoya listed in Suminoe Ward, Osaka.

Osaka’s 72 stores break down into 39 co-located with Matsuya, 11 co-located with Mycurry Shokudo and 22 standalone, meaning standalone stores account for nearly 30%. That share is higher than the national figure, and Shinkitajima falls on the Matsuya co-located side.
