Kumamoto Has Five Matsunoya, All Co-located with Matsuya

Including Yatsushiro, Kumamoto now has five Matsunoya locations. All five are co-located with Matsuya, and there is not a single standalone Matsunoya store in the prefecture. Yatsushiro is the only Matsunoya in the city of Yatsushiro, with no other listings there.

The same pattern holds across all eight prefectures of Kyushu and Okinawa. Fukuoka has 20 stores, Saga 1, Nagasaki 2, Kumamoto 5, Oita 6, Miyazaki 5, Kagoshima 7, and Okinawa 10, and not one of them is a standalone Matsunoya. Every store is co-located with Matsuya, with the single exception of one store in Fukuoka co-located with Mycurry Shokudo.

Across all 688 stores nationwide, 489 are co-located with Matsuya, 76 with Mycurry Shokudo, and 123 are standalone Matsunoya stores. Standalone stores account for nearly 20 percent of the national total, making the zero in Kyushu and Okinawa a pronounced outlier.
