On September 30, Matsuya Foods announced the “Matsuya App 6 Million Members Campaign,” which awards Rakuten Points on orders placed through the Matsuya Foods official app and prepaid with Rakuten Pay. The campaign runs from 10:00 on Thursday, October 1, 2026 through 23:59 on Thursday, October 15. Matsunoya is included.

The return rate and the minimum both change by day of the week

The campaign covers orders through Matsuben Net, Matsuya Mobile Order and Matsuben Delivery, with prepayment by Rakuten Pay required. Eligibility is judged on whether a single transaction clears a minimum, and both that minimum and the return rate split by day of the week.

Minimum per transaction Return
Weekdays (Mon–Fri) 800 yen or more (tax included) Up to 10% in Rakuten Points
Saturdays, Sundays and holidays 1,000 yen or more (tax included) Up to 15% in Rakuten Points

The official notice states that the 10% return applies to customers who prepay on weekdays, Monday through Friday, and does not apply on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays. Eligibility is determined by the date and time of the prepayment.

Entry is required, and the points cap for the period is 10,000 points. Customers are directed to the coupon page in the Rakuten Pay app for details. Eligible stores are Matsuya, Matsunoya, Mycurry Shokudo, Sushi Matsu, Matsuken Chuka Shokudo, Matsutaro, Steak-ya Matsu, Steak Set Meal & Rice Bowl Matsugyu, Mugi no Toriko and Tukkun² nationwide, excluding expressway PA stores and certain others.

Matsuben Net also awards Matsuya Points based on the transaction amount, usable in units of 10 points at 1 point = 1 yen.

What it takes at Matsunoya to clear the minimum

Among the Matsunoya set meals and rice bowls listed on the official website, there is no item priced at exactly 800 or 1,000 yen. Prices jump from 790 yen to 890 yen, and from 990 yen to 1,030 yen, so items fall either just short of a minimum or just above it.

Item Price Weekdays 800 yen Weekends and holidays 1,000 yen
PorkLoinCutlet / PorkLoinCutlet Bowl 690 yen Short Short
PorkLoinCutlet w/ Miso Sauce / PorkLoinCutlet w/ Grated Radish 790 yen Short Short
PorkLoinCutlet w/ Tomato sauce Set meal 990 yen Clears Short
Fried Oyster (5 pcs) Set Meal 1,030 yen Clears Clears
DoublePorkLoinCutlet 1,050 yen Clears Clears

The flagship PorkLoinCutlet and PorkLoinCutlet Bowl are both 690 yen, short of even the weekday 800 yen on their own. Of the 29 set meals and rice bowls currently listed, 8 are under 800 yen, 6 fall between 800 and 999 yen, and 15 are 1,000 yen or more.

Among the Platter Set Meals, which put two main items on one plate, 16 of 20 are 1,000 yen or more, the cheapest being PorkLoinCutlet&FriedShrimp(1P) at 970 yen. Many of them clear the weekend and holiday minimum on their own. Adding side menu items, priced from 60 to 290 yen, is another way to reach a minimum.

A PayPay version was announced the day before

A payment-linked initiative under the same “Matsuya App 6 Million Members” banner was announced for PayPay the previous day, September 29. The banner is the same, but the return rate and the cap are entirely different.

A word from our Matsunoya novice

Hm. A 990-yen item misses the minimum on a Saturday. So the day of the week decides the order now.
